Welcome Pack

A starter pack of homemade, local and Scottish provisions is
included in the price of the cottage.

Scotland is famous throughout the world for its produce and we take great pride in offering a selection for you to try.

The area surrounding the cottage, known as Strathendrick, is predominantly a dairy farming region, and locally produced milk and butter are provided.

Scottish Cheddar cheese is delicious, and a mature version from either our local dairy, Graham's, or the Mull of Kintyre  creamery is supplied. Accompanied by  oatcakes from Orkney or
Maclean's Hebridean Bakery on the Isle of Benbecula, this is heavenly
food!

Bacon and eggs is a favourite Scottish breakfast, especially when the bacon is reared and cured in Scotland and the
eggs come free range from nearby farms.  Followed by home made bread, made using organic flour from Mungoswells in East Lothian, spread with jam home made from Perthshire raspberries, we can guarantee you won't need any lunch! (Our very popular home made raspberry jam is now available for sale @ £4 a jar.)

The kitchen cupboards are stocked with everything you might need for cooking: salt, pepper, flour, oil and stock cubes; and we also supply Fair Trade tea, sugar & ground coffee.

For all other needs the nearby village of Drymen has an excellent selection of pubs, restaurants and shops (we recommend MacDonald's butcher and The Drymen Village Shop), while the next
nearest (Balfron) is the best for everyday shopping, having a first class butcher, bakery and greengrocer, a pharmacy, delicatessen, newsagent  and a small supermarket.
Combine these with all the other surrounding towns and villages, plus Glasgow and Stirling within 30 minutes' drive, and the choice is endless.
